Do we have a discount booking code for the club?

Aaargh... Found out!.... I was lured by the dark side!

I came looking for the Greyhound, but it was no where to be seen. I had expected to see the "Chuckle Brothers" on the AC display! What happened?

My AC is still not finished yet, technical hitch with the hubs! Getting sorted now though.

   :-)

To be honest Nik it was a very poor show this year with hardly any AC's in attendance.

I think there were as many on the Track as on show.

It's a shame as the event is very enjoyable.

As a previous MKIV owner of two cars I will say that you shouldn't worry about what people think. The car is as good or not better than all previous Cobras. Substantially better than replicas. It is a quality built car.

Be happy in the knowledge that you have a blood line and a lovely car. They are rising in value and a sort after vehicle.

Most people haven't got a clue whether or not you car is a genuine or a replica. They just have no comprehension. That is fact. Trying to explain is pointless. Pearls before swine. The undiscerning are a mile away from being able to understand. Even if you had a wonderful 60's Cobra you'd pull up at garage and be asked what kind of replica it was. That would be even more galling.

Just be a happy man that you own a gorgeous car, and enjoy it. Life is to short to worry about what others think.

   Go forth with pride!!

Dragon Wheels is owned by Alan Faulkner Stevens our registrar for MkIV.
If you go to the gallery and look at the photos for the MkIV Lightweight (reg K648 JNV), then click through to photo 8 or 9 you will see a nice installation of EFI Throttle bodies etc.

Thats my old car and I can recommend.

   They are TWG throttle bodies.

The car gave 23 mpg whilst on a run. I have no hesitation in recommending them. They were smooth and gave cracking power.

Having had carburettors before on another car I can only say do it!!

The main thing is to get an ecu set up that you can get altered locally. If you buy a cheap one you'll get nothing but hassle.

   Have fun!!

Simtrim are very good, but you'll need to wait and they are not the cheapest!

I would agree with John and thoroughly recommend you fit heated elements in the seat whilst you're having them recovered. They are not expensive and on a cooler day better than a heater. Very cosy.

I bought Landrover Defender versions from Exmoor trim. I can recommend them.

Both the Hexagon Classics car and the Graeme Hunt car used to belong to me!

Bizarre that they're both for sale at the same time.

I would suspect they would be better in the ac archive saved for the future of all members if possible.

I suspect John hasn't read this yet. If he hasn't I'm sure he will reply as soon as he has .  He is a very enthusiastic ME owner.

I had a similar pair of boots circa 1973 and can state that they were in their day awesome, but a nightmare after the odd lager and lime!

On this occasion and for the purposes of propulsion I would suspect that the adjustable pedal would be the better solution.... and I no longer wear platform boots or drink lager and lime!

And just to prove I'm no lying. A picture of me at Le Mans in 1973! I'm on the left and wearing the light brown jacket.

   Oh Yeah!... The shame!

   :-)

Thats a great solution Peter. I do like the idea of that.

I just Hpi checked it and it is registered as a 1966 car.

It seems unbelievable that it can be advertised as a continuation and then registered as 1966.

Over promoting the Roads of France is not something that can be done. It is such a pleasure to drive.

Sadly Orly is a little far north for me, but you could move south!

Olivier, Thank you for the compliment.

If I had the good fortune to live in France with better weather it would come out to play more often, thus justifying it's place in the garage. Sadly where I live is not so picturesque.

I just came back from a few days in "The Minervois" this afternoon... Now to own it there would be a dream. Everything would be perfect and I would never be parted.

You never know it may not sell, and I will end up in The Minervois! Stranger plans have come to pass!

29
Yep, sadly it's mine. I'm just not using it at all. I've got several cars and another old AC that'll be finished renovation soon as well. It's been a difficult decision, but one of them needs to go or I need to build some more garages.

It's a very lovely car and I will be sorry to see it go, but it really needs to be used. I'm an enthusiast, I don't like to see it just sat. It's wrong.

This is a car for sale in the States.

It says Lightweight specification.... But it isn't.

It'll give you an idea of where you need to be, which is I suspect way north of the asking price on this particular car.
