With the blessing of the rest of the council, I have created an AC Owners' Club Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/acownersclub/.
It is to provide an insight into members' cars and events. Content so far has been from club photographers past and present, me and a few other contributors. At the time of writing we have 256 followers so please do follow if you are on Insta.
If you have any images you would like to share on the club's Instagram please do contact me directly - my email is in ACtion (Awards and Trophies) or on the Members area of the website (Awards and Trophies). or private message me on the forum here.
I could do with more Vintage, PVT, Saloon, Buckland and 3000ME content but any and all is welcome. Even better if there is a story to go with it.
When sending me content, or interacting on the account, please bear in mind it is completely public (like this forum).

ACOC News and Events / AC Owners' Club Sprint 11th September 2021 - Goodwood

Hi All,
The AC Owners' Club Sprint is fast approaching on 11th Sept to be held at Goodwood.
All members, friends, sons, daughters, wives, girlfriends and boyfriends are welcome to attend as spectators. There tends to be a good turnout of members at the Sprint so we would love to see you there.
The ACOC Sprint is the perfect introduction to competitive motorsport if you have not competed previously. For the seasoned campaigners, there is some very attractive glassware on offer for the fastest times in each class! We also have an award for the fastest Lady on the day (in an AC if applicable).
Although we would love more ACs to take part, pretty much any car is eligible to enter the competition providing it meets the Motorsport UK safety regulations. We have an increased capacity this year with the longer daylight hours so if you are interested in competing, please do get in touch.

Richard, please keep the club at large updated with your Buckland restoration project. The BEST way to do this is to email the editor (contact details in ACtion) with some images and words (doesn't have to be much) and he will include them when/where there is room in the mag. We need more 2ltr / Buckland content generally so anything will be welcome. The club has been accused of "under-valuing" these cars (personally, I'm not sure how this conclusion can be made), but the main content of the magazine is generated by owners/drivers so it's up to all of us to write in with our adventures in our ACs. Good luck and I look forward to hopefully meeting you at an ACOC event in the future.

I saw this Gary - well spotted.
They have quite the following now. The auction ended at just over £2k which I actually think was quite good value for the buyer especially as it was a "project" car plus a "parts" car. Pandemic and Christmas season probably suppressed bidding somewhat. I have toyed with the idea of starting a register for AC built invalid carriages but there is already the RUM (Register of Unusual Micro Cars) and the ICR (Invalid Carriage Register). We don't seem to attract the owners of the small ACs (petite, Sociable, Invalid carriage etc) which is a great shame.

A real shame that the event was called off early for the second year in a row. Every competitor had the opportunity for a practice and a timed run so the competition did at least have some results.
Track conditions were challenging but not outrageous. Two separate competitors collecting the scenery (neither of them ACOC members) seemed to force the officials into their decision.
Full results will be published in ACtion but here are the main ones:
F.T.D overall: Patrick Blakeney Edwards (Frazer Nash)
F.T.D in an AC: Murray Shepherd (Ace Bristol)
Fastest Lady: Sue Darbyshire (Morgan)
Some fantastic photos shot by Peter De RH will be accompanying the results.
Massive thanks to John Abel, Mike Smith, John Spencer, Mike Berrisford, Bruce Claassen, Bob Langley and all the competitors, officials and marshalls that helped make it happen.
Goodwood have been making some positive noises about getting us an earlier date for 2021 to decrease the chance of such extreme weather!

Clearly aiming at the market of people to buy, put away for 5 years add 50% to price and sell to next. Rinse and repeat until someone realises these cars carry none of the historical value of the originals.

Good work finding those images of BE1199 Nick, the exhaust on the mystery car is definitely out the back rather than the side exit from the Bristol. I asked Tim about his car and he was fairly certain it wasn't his so happy to rule out 6018.
6025 does look very likely with the tall over riders and the full rear bumper as seen in the article you posted Nick.
