David

I'm pleased to see that everything has worked out. I've been following with interest.

Um, should I be concerned about the fire risk?

Nigel, I'd think twice before attending any feminist meetings, if I were you. If you're capable of of having two consecutive thoughts without a rest in between, that is

Yes, it is important to portray the History of the AC  Marque, but it is also important to celebrate Birthdays and Anniversaries of AC Model's.
   This year the theme was Cobra MK1V's. ( Hence 4  x MK1V's )
Back in 2003 my BEX333 was displayed along with 3 more  AC Ace on the ACOC Stand to celebrate "The 50th Anniversary of the AC Ace"

A lot of thought and hard work goes into organising.  setting up,  manning and dismantling the ACOC Stand.[;)]
In good old AC fashion..  .

   "BLOODY WELL DONE"

To all those who have organised, manned and supported the ACOC over the years at this prestegious event at the NEC..[^]

Nik, Great Idea for next year, Sociable to Ace Brooklands. would make a great theme, Then 2019 is 70th Birthday of the ACOC so something special .[;)].

There is a post in PistonHeads dated 2010.

   https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=802846

It showed pictures of the build and stated that the chassis was rescued from the factory fire. Pictures aren't there now, thanks to 'Photo Bucket'  but the narrative is.

Interesting fact.

   1. There are only twelve Mk1 and four Mk2 cars currently legal for road use in the UK as of today's date (taxed & MOT'd).

   2. Latest DVLA information shows that the total number of cars in the UK in 2016 was 36.7 million.

This I think explains why I have never seen another one on the road.

Sorry, I had a bit of time on my hands.

Its hand written as 11DN that's not to say it isn't a handwriting mistake.but it definitely says JAG. HDN would make sense then.

Paho

Thank you. I had seen that, and I agree the colour is a good match for the Tourmaline green. Does anyone know the paint code for this? It was used for Ford, Mercedes and Jaguar to name but a few.

I couldn't match the code I had to this colour either.

Cleaned it all, but nothing seems amiss on the face of it.
