Vintage, PVT & 2 Litre Forum / Nice looking Ac 2 litre in Wales
« on: February 28, 2021, 19:01:06 »
I was watching Salvage Hunters on Quest this week (Yes drew Pritchard is an acquired taste)and they visited Llangollen motir museum and there were a number of nice cars there including this 2 Litre. Next time I am up that way I will visit.

Any way not sure if car is known to the club.

Here is a pic I found on Google.

So went for £9300 not bad price for what appeared to be a nice car.

Lets hope it is a car going to a new member or to an existing one.

Let us know if you bought it.

General Forum / AC chokes cables new old stock.
« on: February 05, 2021, 16:02:40 »
Hi not sure if these would be any use to any members, but I've just ordered one.

These are new old stock choke cables with a nice AC logo on the knob, not quite as per the AC car logo but a nice touch all the same.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-AC-CHOKE-CABLE-IVORY-KNOB-HOTROD-VINTAGE-TRIKE-CLASSIC-CAR-NEW-OLD-STOCK/133179923036?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Have a look, maybe someone knows if they are proper AC choke cables and if so maybe the club may be interested in them.

Hi yes does sound ok, the vendor sent me a lot of pics but mainly as per Ebay. I hope it goes to a future member.

As regard to L800 I have spoken to Tom about it and am considering my position re the car.

Yes indeed. I wonder what the woodwork is like, nothing worse than the worm.

Lets hope it goes to an AC enthusiast.

Is this already known to the club?

I had a taster which has wetted my appetite this pm. The film Le Mans.

Lets hope the Club goes forward with the trip.

Yes, I know it is an unknown re the Covid situation but we have to look forward not prevaricate. Worse case scenario is it gets postponed.

Lets hope the Council meeting was positive.
