Interesting history in the registry about that car...wonder if Mr Scudder will snap it up this time round? Wonder if the specially fabricated wider sunbursts come with it?
   Looks to be in great condition.

Rob,
   Just a few tips on the brakes re-assembly (seeing you have had to go to all this trouble!)
   1. The brake bias bar is offset ie a shorter and longer side. Make sure you reassemble it with the short bit on top pushing the .75 M.C to front brakes.
   2. Then check that the bias bar is parallel UNDER PRESSURE  ie when brake pedal is pushed in, to the faces of the two master cylinders. It must not favour front or back . To achieve this lengthen or shorten rods.
   Don`t give up, you will get there.

   Armstrong #`s    AT7-1288B or Alternate # is AT9-2038B  for the front
                 AT9-2158B or Alternate AT92158/1-A  For the rear

Barrie, no I have not, but looking forward to. Will be crossing to Buffalo next month to pick a copy up.
    The present set up  can be viewed on www.riversideracers.com under developement. It allows for castor, camber and toe in adjustment without shortening, bending etc .  A la Ken Miles` heim joint csx 2431.
   Rob, forgot to mention castor,.... As much as possible which is between 6 and 7 degrees. Blas and I are busy compiling an owners manual which will have these type of tips in it,

Congrats on your purchase Rob,
    May you enjoy your car for many years to come. So pleased to see it finally on its way. Where in New Zealand?
   The wiring diagram is now available as well which is a must.
     The following  road set up works well on both mine... 1/8" toe in with 1 degree negative camber all round. This in case the sea journey plays a role in altering yours!

All of the above pictures are of my pre production car. It was rushed off to Geneva for that show but it was built for me, and not to meet IVA specs. which we don`t have to meet here.
   The car that was sent to Goodwood was the first rh version and the first of the 50 Celebration cars.
   That car has most of the IVA requirements.
   The next car,which left the factory today for the Mcau motor show in China, is closer to the real deal. This car has already been sold so will remain in Asia.

I`ve just found and ordered from Guy Broad Jaguar. He has both an original at 50 pounds and repros at 15 pds. A lot cheaper than Moss Motors.

As per my original question I had visualized that some of the early mk1`s ie cox 6001 to 6062 possibly had started life as cam & peg AND the developement to R&P done on them. Ie This way it did`nt involve Shelby`s orders at all but might well have been requested by Miles, Remington because of the racing experience. As I don`t know COB & COX cars I was`nt sure how the early ones started as . ie R&P or cam & peg as None of my references actually stated R & P altho` their delivery dates are after 7/3/63  ie csx 2126
   Never read about 2030 and put together what I`ve learn`t from this thread.Most informative and I thank you.
