Thank you John for last night’s interesting and enjoyable presentation “AC Cars Around Thames Ditton”. The presentation was done in conjunction with the local history society and was very well attended.

Thank you also for your continued contributions to ACtion which I always look forward to reading.

Very nice looking 1936 AC16/70 L482 has just sold at auction for £37k.

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / AE 528

For information:
Aceca AE528 with engine CL2206 sold at auction this week for £48938, inc fees. The car is a half finished project. From the photographs it looks as though the bodywork and chassis have been done but the engine needs to be rebuilt and all fitting up, electrics, interior etc is still to be done.

The restoration of AEX146 is almost complete and I am having a new hood made. I have “Original AC Ace & Cobra” by Rinsey Mills as a reference but I would be grateful if an owner of a flat screen/ long boot Ace could post or e mail me photographs of their car with the weather gear up. The trimmer is particularly interested to see the profile of the hood and the size and shape of the rear screen.

The restoration of my Ace AEX146 is almost complete. Can anyone tell me whether the 5” speedometer and rev counter should have flat or domed glass covers? Thanks in advance.
