Going to Switzerland for the Club trip and still haven't dealt with the awful positioning of the seat belt top guide which means I have to effectively wear a scarf to stop the belt chaffing my neck.
Has anybody fitted or had fitted a bar with harness mounts either on the bulkhead or across the (roll over?) hoops? Haven't driven it for years except to the MOT station or for annual service but the pain of the belt cutting my neck is still foremost in my dread list together with driving in the pouring rain along the motorways at 60mph hoping the roof doesn't fly off.

Amazing how the web throws up the unexpected - I was just looking for a local outfit for some race prep work (non AC)[:)]

Not the usual question re 15" wheels/tyres etc but as its probably about time I replaced the original 18 year old set of tyres (still totally unworn)on my CRS ready for Luxembourg. Does anyone have to hand details of the current replacement for the factory fitted Avons ?

I'm contemplating an Ace Brooklands - am I mad to even consider it given I do not maintain my own CRS?
I believe they failed because they were poorly designed and executed or is this from the same myth stable as how bad 428s were at the time?
   Any input wecome.

   Thanks

Any more news on travel arrangements. So far I know only that we're leaving from Portsmouth on Thusrday 5th, its an overnight ferry and there's a dinner Sat night.
The AA tell me its 4 hours to Portsmouth (at least 2 fill ups!), where are we landing/staying etc and most importantly my rev limiter would like to know what sort of frock to pack for Saturday night.[:)]

Just pulled the CRS out of winter storage as we seem to have a dry and sunny weekend ahead and can't resist one last blast before hibernation. [8D]
Passenger complained mightily of sealt belt strangulation and how on earth are we going to drive to Lemans like this. (ok I'm not feeling anything except the pull of the wind and the roar in my ears) so has anyone done anything to change the anchorage points for these hopeless inertia seat belts? [:(!]

Do ACs no longer run in this series? Just this lonely but rather lovely Ace in the paddock car park at Oulton yesterday.

Hope he had its tonneau as the heavens opened soon after [:)]

Will we see this on the circuit soon?

Hi from your newest member. In reply to the question in ACtion of why many Mk IVs (that's what it says in the handbook, honest) have extremely low mileage, maybe its because they are only really useable if the weather is good NOT ONLY for the journey out but also the journey home (maybe 5 days a year in UK!) Apropos of which has any one got a set of spare or unused sidescreens and a hood? Or even better do you know the location of the original wet weather gear for CRS9505? Is it still in the dark recesses of your garage?
I want to go to the classic 24 hours next year but am now to old to enjoy a full on topless experience - apart from the fine array of speakers getting wet. Can anyone tell me if they were all fitted at the time by the factory and how do you turn the radio thing off when the front bit is put back in place? And yes its very, very yellow. [:D]
