Hi all, next month's 'Classic & Sportscar' (Feb issue, on sale early Jan) has a group test featuring the 1989 Mk4 Piccadilly showroom car, up against a Viper and early Griffith.
The Cobra is for sale @ Rod Leach's 'Nostalgia' in Hertford Heath, sounds a beauty with only 8k miles covered.
I'm interested to hear what the 'muttering rotters think of it since Mk4 tests seem few and far between.
Whilst leaving my 'kit car'[:I] @ Thunder Road last week, Cheng showed me another 'Nostalgia' item, a  STUNNING 427 continuation from '94, just 190 miles from new; the most exquisite car I've seen, how many were in that limited continuation run?

Hi all, just been informed that November's issue of 'Octane'has a feature on the legendary 39 PH which of course among its many famous exploits gave Gentleman Jack Sears 'his most satisfying race' in the 'Black Flag' Ilford Trophy at Brands, driving the Cobra on the limit for Willments, a superman indeed, I shall be invading W.H. Smith tomorrow..

428 Frua Forum / Chequered Flag 427
« on: September 07, 2007, 18:22:19 »
Hi all, leafing through the extracts from Mr Legate's book in 'Cobra' magazine, a pic shows the  white Chequered Flag Cobra 427 piloted by Bondurant/Piper followed by a Sunbeam Tiger of Unett/Calcutt, at the '66 Ilford Trophy, Brands.
Pic shows the 427 as a rhd, the Tiger a left hooker. Is this correct, or is it back to front, I thought the Woolfe road car GTM 777F was the first 427 converted to rhd..?

Hi all, I remember buying the Autocar in '68 (at age thirteen..!)
Still have the mag featuring UPG428F on road test, re-reading it now I wonder whether that car survives, it along with the Cobra was instumental in firing my fascination with AC cars which has never waned.I would love to hear any recent info re this car, thanks in advance,
