This used to be a common problem with leaf springs there is a tool to grease the springs It is in the form of a G clamp with a fine wedge at one side of the clamp and a similar wedge on the opposite end on this side a grease nipple is fitted forcing grease down through the wedge. prior to using this you jack up the car to releave tension off the spring and screw in the G clamp (wedges) I have one of these tools will post a picture if someone tells me how to.    briangwood

yes thats correct i need both. The steel section is beyond repair and the chrome strip is in need of replacing. need them as the car is now ready for painting. can you sugest anywhere thanks brian

now that the buckland is nearing completion i find that i do not have a log book. DVLA have put the usual block on things. The car is on the register matching chassis, engine no, etc got the origional no plate etc. There must be a number of members that have gone through the proccess a few pointers would help thanks brian

does anyone know where to find /purchase a bonett hinge for my buckland  it probably be the same as the 2 ltr saloon car along with the chrome strip mine is rusted beyond repair thanks my car is on the register thanks brian
