The car has fire damage under dash, I have a bonnet (needs patch panel put in), front bumper, dashboard. Will need full wiring, engine over hall and lots of effort. Cat C, so can be put on the road if needed. Just not sure what to do with it, the chassis is good, etc. No Hood as another owner wanted a hood.

Also have a look at the links below

This one is of the Ac Aceca which I own now, does not have its lotus engine anymore which is a shame. I plan to put a V8 ford into the car

Go to around 4.33 and see a really good overview of the factory. Note the Mk1 and Mk2 were finsihed and built at Brooklands, only a few were done at Frimley. T801ATP aceca is in the video, this car had wood in some parts. But about 5-6 years ago someone took it apart and removed the wooden elements replaced by steel. Would really like to know what happened to the first Aceca Brooklands.

The ones I have taken off were glued, not found clips. It will be GRP so quite strong, becareful not to bend to much. I hope this helps.

All,

I'm so sorry for the lack of contact on forum and in action around the Ace Brooklands, but new job and house took my focus. Well now I'm back, it would be good to check the register is updated. Could I ask people with Mk1 and Mk2 cars to email me there latest details, especially  if you have modified the car. I will collect over the next month updates and send the latest register into action for print. Also as I'm stripping an Ace Brooklands I could take lots of photo's and provide members a catalog of what I find if that helps. Also if you need specific parts please send me an email on john_abel289@hotmail.com

Thanks all, I will read through the various posts and answer any questions.

John

« on: February 08, 2020, 12:58:20 »
Good idea, I have about 100 part numbers collected, will get into electronic form and post. If we start a specific parts post we can add from the various members own knowledge. I have a Ace Brooklands Mk1 which has fire damage which could be a good source for parts. The car is complex minus a hood and front bumper, this was used by another member to get there car back on the road.

I plan to catalog now we have moved into our house (only took three years) the parts and parts I have available.

My email address is the same as before so email me if you want anything

Thanks

John

Ace 'Brooklands' Forum / Re: Radiator Top Hose
« on: February 08, 2020, 12:54:49 »
Hi All,

Sorry I have been out for a few years, back now. The top hose is a special design for Ace Brooklands. I believe Neil Fisher is getting some made when I went over, will email him and ask if he has any stock. If not I know a company that will make a black silcone hose for us.

Looking at mine it is not great, the rest are standard mustang pipes. I need to check, but one other hose may be special the ace.

Thanks

John
