I have watched and recorded the bidding live today on the Aceca and both Aces. When bidding started at 90K on the Ace-Bristol I wondered where it was going to!

Wilhelm,

By BEX 313 you mean BEX 312 but by coincidence BEX 313 was owned and restored by the same Tim as BEX 148.
Some time ago I read an online article which compared your F-N Le Mans and BEX 312.

Keith,

I think Peter already looked on the Rapley (not Ripley) website but could not find BEX 208 (not 206).
Just like Peter I can't find it on their website.
On the other hand, there is an Aceca visible which is already sold. The pictures look somewhat familiar but which car is it?

I was able to save the pictures on the Henderson Fellowes website of Tony Bancrofts car.
Surely Nik Bagshaw can add some interesting info as his father was one of its former owners.

I believe the clock was standard equipment on Ace and Aceca models but later on in production the clock became a separate gauge on the dashboard and so the clock was deleted from the speedometer.

Wow Peter, that's a really high price!
Following some recent sales where prices were more or less reasonable this is surely an exception to that trend. If it really is an exception or the new rule we will see in the near future.

These are the pictures on the sidescreen bag from the Rinsey Mills book and they look more or less similar to my pictures.
The text explains the way the bag can be attached to the tubes either side of the boot. I have never tried it but now that the subject is active I will give it a try!

Here are 2 pictures of the envelope bag that came with my car.

The heater set up in Ace and Aceca is not identical so be careful. Best would be the heater set up in another Aceca and I believe even there is a difference between earlier and later cars. There are a few pictures in Original Ace, Aceca & Cobra.

Luke, I sent you a PM with my details. Great effort which will be very useful for several owners!

Sorry for not giving this thread all the attention it deserves.
If any of the initial batch are not yet spoken for I would like to express my interest in a bleeder tool (unpainted if possible) and probably also the adjuster tool if that project will come out successful as well.
Thanks for your effort!

Here is the driving video I think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzWGFLHi9e8

Interesting to see a car with a brass chassis plate with a serial number high enough to expect the later aluminium style plate.
It looks to be a reproduction plate however.
Whatever, it seems to be a very nice car! Never seen such floor mats before!

On LHD cars it is on the same left side which is not ideal as the steering shaft above is in the way. You have to lower and lift the battery across it.

I have a similar story. Through the internet I made contact with someone from the US who happened to own an Ace-Bristol in the early 60s and racing it at that time. I spotted him as he made a comment on an Ace for sale I believe on BaT.
He replied and we discussed his ex-car and he even sent me a collection of copies of old pictures (on paper) from the time that he owned the car. Of course he was interested to know the whereabouts of his former car. I was able to put him in contact with the current (very well known) owner and a meeting between the two resulted. He was taken for a spin in the car and I have one or two pictures as proof!

This note suggests that the AC Bristol badge is one badge whereas the Bristol scroll is separate from the AC badge even though it looks to be one when you are not standing close.
