Hi Max, all 4 Cats had detached/twisted/ broken up, the exhaust system it self was poorly built with some parts of the pipes reduced in diameter, the fixings where broken and the welds onto the silencers had been repaired badly and whilst could be repaired it made more sense to bin the exhaust and have new one made. Now running 1 Cat per side and increased bore to 2 1/4.
Have also replaced the manifold as it was cracked and had a few small holes however, the exhaust outlet on the headers was small than the manifold outlets and thus was leaking. I would also add that again the manifold was poorly made with different length pipes and bends that reduced the diameter of the pipe.
With these changes the car is now showing 270 bhp with 340 torque, next up is to increase the fuel system.

I understand that DE1061 also has the Teves system Mk4. Has the same warning lights although none of them came on when the brakes malfunctioned.

I am told that the 289 register holds its AGM at the Silverstone Classic on top of their members supporting the club/register as well as the event.

As we cannot influence price of entry or the weather  - any ideas on what the ACOC members are looking for in order that further members and there cars attend - that the ACOC can supply?

Welcome any thoughts ideas we could put forward

Was having a look for a Parts Catalogue for Ford Granada and came across this website with multiple Ford vehicle parts catalogues, shame it is linked to overseas companies:
   http://eucatparts.com/?action=cat_ford

Looking for this design it looks like I agree with Nick, it is Sierra 89 - 93, go into the Body and Related Parts, then Front doors and related parts and finally Electric Window Controls - I think it is pictured but not listed however, the diagram gives a part number of DDA06020.
Cannot get any further than this.

To those that survived Fridays rain, the luck ones that choice Saturday and then the unlucky ones that came to Sunday for rain and cold winds - thanks for representing the AC Owners Club over the 3 days.
We had a good position by Luffield with the track right behind our position and a gravel drive way in front so no problems with parking on the grass.

With Saturday being the busiest day with many questions, lots of interest and many photographs taken.

I hope next year everyone who came this year can attend next year and maybe bring along another member with an AC for our stand. As we attend these events we continue to represent and remind people of the AC Marque with the rich history and wide variation of cars built by AC.
Already looking forward to a, hopefully, dry Silverstone Classic in 2016.

Have had e-mail correspondence with the organisers and they have now moved us to where the Ginetta's where positioned -  which is roughly where we were on the original map shown in this post.

Only a few weeks away and finally received some information on where we will have our club area. I had responded once I knew where the club area was allocated and received the following e-mail:

You are in S13 which is the long wide grass bank next to the old brook lands track. Although you will be parked on the grass the track runs alongside it and you are next to the track, also the grass is usually very hard so not what you might call proper grass. We do try to site clubs where they want but sometimes are unable to due to the huge numbers attending and the jigsaw like fitting in.

I have attached the map with your position and that of the 289 register (at the opposite end) so hopefully that will be welcome.

Looks like there are 3 superchargers

   DE1061 - mine
DE1064 - which I think is the car advertised (must be S500ACE)
DE1065 - I think is S50ACE and used in the Autocar test in 1999

   Any news on DE1065

Was with Neil Fisher (Redline) this morning and he had DE1023 on site about to be picked up and taken to Monaco.
With 4000 miles on the clock Neil describes the car as being just like it had just left the factory (if that is a good thing or not I leave for comment [:D]).

With only 4,000 miles on the clock makes the 12,000 on my car seem high

Was with Neil Fisher this morning and looks like the cable has been kinked when the interior door panel was removed to check the window motor.
As the cable is only a thin wire you cannot straighten the cable , so have to replace with a new cable. The cable is from a Granada and will start checking on line sites to see what is available
