Good day every one. Well I have been looking into this ACE I have bought and found out a little more of it,s past.I learned today the bristol engine was seized up and replaced with the chev 327 in the early 70,s. Then the car changed hands twice untill its owner at that time was murdered by his brother. Then sold to the chap I bought the car from.
SO far the resto is going well. The body is in good shape.I,m going throught the motions of getting an engine for it. Tommorow I will install all the lights and connect a battery to see what works and what doesn,t. Hopefully things will work out right and I will keep this car???
I was told also today the car was white at one point and hope to get some photo,s of it.
Thats all I have for now. Keep well

Good day all. After reading more letters on this forum I just want to say. I will not restore BEX225 to perfection. I will leave the body with just a clean aluminum finish. All the little dents will remain also.As for the interior I plan to do the same. The carpets were eaten by mice and have just rotted away. Bare aluminum with blace leather seats will be fine for me. No one will ask is it a kit car.
I will get some photos out soon. Take care all

Good afternoon all. I will share this story about BEX225.As I said it has been sitting in storage for over 20 years. Finally after asking for twenty years the great man who had it, he contacted me to see if I was still interested. I said yes and we worked ot the details.
The car comes with a crazy past.Last night I found out it was a drug running car.Even has some ties with a murder. All of this is new to me,but this was in the 1970,s. All is clear now.
Today I stipped off many coats of paint.Maroon, red, yellow, green, and the orig, blue. The paint was so bad it was all cracked and pealing.
Most of the paint was down to the aluminum. The car has sanded out very nice.A few dents and a poor welding job on the right front wing.
   I will keep at it.
   Thank you

Good day all. This forum is all very new to me.I would just like to say I find it all very interesting. I can tell we all have a great affection for the AC company. After reading many stories I,m sure I will be very pleased to be the new owner of BEX225. As I said this car has been stored for over twenty years.Needs a great amount of work.Just hoping things all come together,
   Thank you

Good day all. I have just bought BEX 225. Took me 20 years to get this car.Would there be any one out there that knows some history about it. The car was sold in Toronto Canada in 1956. I now have it home where I will start to restore it.
   Thank you
