Title: Still need NOS or reproduction of tie rod boots
Post by: rhbeede on April 24, 2017, 07:15:20
I am still hunting for the original Lockheed, Made in England, dust cover boots for the tie rods used on the late Bristols and early worm ans sector Cobras. Does anyone have a source for these? Do you know if Lockheed still has the original mold for casting them?

   Thanks, Bob

I bought AP Lockheed® assemblies for other applications from the period and harvested the boots and spring clamps from them.

Thanks for responding, Dan! Can you tell me where to sourced the entire NOS tiered assemblies? I could use them as well. Thank you! Bob

I find them on Ebay® UK sometimes. I would see if you can find an obsolete parts dealer that might have some. Some other assemblies use the same black rubber boot.
