Title: Badge
Post by: 66er on December 27, 2016, 09:59:51
Hello all.
I am not an owner so need your input.
Can anyone enlighten me regarding this little badge I have had knocking around my toolbox.
Is it tat for recycling, or usable on a vehicle?
   Thanks.

It appears to be a bonnet badge fitted to many AC vehicles from the 1930s to the 1970s and should be about 2" across (but I can measure one if yours is very different). They have a relatively small value because it looks as though it would need rechroming before use. An owner needing one would probably pay £8-10. You could advertise it on here for offers, or try your luck on eBay. Thanks for asking and I hope that helps.

Thank you for that information, the size is right and it is possibly brass?  I didn't know if they were chromed or enamelled,
however, I can now pass it on and not discard it.
   Thanks again.

I believe all were chromed but some pre-war ones were also enamelled.
