Title: HELP Autokraft IV starter removal

I can not get starter past frame and oilpan space.
   Do I have to lift engine off mounts ?????
   What is the correct way to remove starter from Ford 302 ???

Unbolt engine mount and lift engine on right side of car to allow starter to pass frame.
