My rebuild of BE745 requires help in finding a pair of wiper wheelboxes.I have tried MG items but the back is too high and fouls the 3/4"steel tube.
Steve Hunt has given me the Lucas part number 72639. It was also fitted to the Ace and Armstrong Siddley.
Someone will know of an alternative.
Any history of 10 KPH will be appreciated.

Try S-V-C they supply two types but different part numbers, you might be better buying a kit & renew the motor & drive so you have no issues with relieability, they supply Hawk Cars who you should also try.
If you Google you will find some on 'Ebay' etc

I did some searching a while ago and listed the following info: Wheelbox:
ACE/Aceca, 55-56 72629A
57-on 72639A
Also found on:
72629 Triumph TR2 1954-56
72639 Triumph TR2 1955-56 with 2 speed motors
Wiper rack:
ACE/Aceca, 55-56 736307 cut to 441/8 CR/4W motors. Std length 465/(16 )
57 741264 cut to 4929/32 DR1 motor. . Std length 505/32
58-on 744256 for DR3 motor. Std length 4729/32
Could be worth contacting Moss Europe etc, their TR2/3 catalog can be very useful. For what it is worth my info shows Armstrong Siddeley wheel boxes as 72548 except for the Sapphire 1953-55. Limited numbers of the correct car is a problem.
Best of luck, Mike.

Thanks for the extra info.
The 55-56 cars use 72629A and A Healey 100/4 Uses 72629D. Could these be the same items?
My car is 1959,. What is the difference in the skuttle are between say a 56 and 57 car, either Ace or Aceca, presumably the early flat screen
Thanks

Extract from 1962 Lucas Catalogue attached below.
Regret do not have earlier version
The Staffordshire Vehicle Components website has some good diagrams of Lucas windsreen wiper components. My recollection is that they will also supply the bundy tubing to length and flanged.
The racks also wear on one side in the area of the wheelbox, giving floppy wiper motion. A quick fix is to turn the rack over - that should last another 50 years (unless you have been beaten to it)!

To complement above listing by John Spencer ACOC Arch
Extract from Lucas Parts list CE852/63
Motor 75311D/E
Wheelbox later 72686B
Outercasing Motor?wheel box 745387
Later 54716255.
Before you spend hours in research give Barry Howsley a Call, He often has a Good S/H or recon Wiper Motor available.

Somewhat surprised that Stev Hunt couldn't help, he usually has a vast hoard of spare components.
Mike mansergh's data proves very useful in sourcing spare parts as fitted by other manufacturers in period. AC robbed parts binsof various manufacturers to save money and only manufactured their own one off components if there wasn't some suitable already in the market place.
One day Hopefully the ACOC might produce a listing of equivelent parts to help keeep our ACs running without resorting to having small runs commissioned or paying silly prices as ACs, like Ferraris and Aston Martins are in a different league to Mass produced Fords. Jaguars and BL.
Last but not least, Visit the Ace Model section of our web site and you can down load the Lucas Parts listing CE852/63 which we published many moons ago.
Every one will find it useful in confirming the correct Lucas parts fitted to Ace / Aceca / Greyhound and Cobra.
