Title: AC brass plate, what is it? footplate?

Over on that Facebooky thing, this photo of a brass plate was posted, and I wonder if anyone can identify it’s origin please?
Marked “ Coachwork by AC Cars Ltd. Surrey, Eng... “ It has clearly been chopped off for some repurposing, but I’m assuming it may have been a footplate or similar?

Looking forward to a flurry of photos showing how it should have looked, where, and on which vehicle it would be found!

Yes. It's a threshold plate from a 2Litre saloon.

Yes as stated definitely a 2 litre door footplate/threshold plate, normally these are silver coloured but are brass under coating.
