Title: Engine block number
Post by: 91High on January 31, 2021, 16:46:41
I am looking for information regarding a Light 6 engine with block stamped CL 2190 w 7.5/1. It would have been manufactured in 1958 or 1959 as a spare. Where may I find a listing of Weller engine block numbers? Is there such a listing? Are the factory records available and if so, where?
Many thanks.

I am not aware of a separate list for engines apart from the actual Car listings winch give the original engine number fitted to the car.
You can access the lists on the members section of the Club web site.

If you join the club you will get access to the registers which list the cars that used the engines so you will be able to see where the engine fits in the sequence.

CL - later engines that followed the UMB series; W = Wellworthy pistons;  7.5:1 - compression ratio.
