A very interesting article. Has Steve Gray completed the two replicas of A98?

On a blog of Classic & Sports Cars of 15 november 2011, Editor Mick Walsh mentions Barrie Bird as recreator of an A98.

Nice tribute to the Cobra and its Thames Ditton origins.

What a well written piece, and I`m already VERY excited about the Revival!!!
To say Barrie 'recreated' A98 is to suggest he made a replica, but over many, many years he rebuilt THE Le Mans car after it`s horrific accident using much of the original metal.
It certainly is a more eye-pleasing shape than the Daytonas, and according to Barrie would have been a fair bit faster at Le Mans had the drivers not been instructed to rev to 6,000 compared to the 7,200 that the Daytonas did!
