Title: Propshaft Balancing

DE1055 has, and always has had, an irritating vibration which I'm sure is coming from the prop shaft, not noticeable at normal speeds but when forced to exceed the national limit (to aid safe overtaking for example !!) a vibration / thrum gradually builds then subsides as speed decreases.
   
   Have any other Brooklands owners experienced this issue?
   
   Can anyone out there recommend a reliable balancing outfit?

David, assuming there are no loose flanges or worn U.J.s in your drive chain you should maybe try rotating the propshaft 180 degrees around before going to the expense of balancing. If it is a propshaft balance problem it may cure it, or make it worse - either way you will have a positive diagnosis.

I don't get this at all on mine. Just a thought , could it be exhaust mountings? I have this on a previous car, only got the vibration between seventy and seventyfive.

I had a vibration on 1060 at high speed (90mph)and it felt like the gear lever was a Kenwood Chef mixer machine! Keeps your speed down as much as a speed camera!
