MKIV showroom in the 90's ?
« on: October 21, 2013, 12:48:58 »
hello,

A friend of mine, who worked in London in 1990-1991, told me that there was a show room exposing MKIVs, at the intersection of Piccadilly street and Berkeley St... it is now an Audi show-room, right ?

By any chance, does someone have some period pictures of this show-room ?

   many thanks !

Yes there were MkIVs displayed and it was in the Saab showroom. The Audi showroom is opposite the Ritz but I thought the Saab showroom was a bit further west by a few yards, perhaps where the Lexus showroom is now. I'm sure I remember a yellow MkIV on display.

thanks Nick ... but the pic is the one from the sales brochure, taken at Brooklands track, so it may not be the actual car that was exposed  ?

Edit : and most of all, it's a lightweight on the picture [:I] !
