   I think it is. Probably a standard Mk IV, although some Lightweight features.

yes it is .... you can even see the sidemark lights barely masked !as well as the absorption bumpers ...

Seen the car. Is actually a car I already knew here in Luxembourg. In very good condition, recently remodified to reflect some Mk III / or LW style.
   Early AK.... Mk IV (US spec).
   Already in the 80'ies this car had non-standard factory fitted features.
   Definite modifications to initial spec include:
   - engine: said to be 289, has Weber carbs (initial engine said to be available and part of the deal)
   - roll over bar
   - dash and alignment of instruments (Smith)
   - coulour has been changed; very professional paint job;
   Other features:
   Borg Warner T10 4 speed gearbox;
   Car sits on 15' Halibrand type magnesium alloy rims;
   Has under car exhaust system, remains under the rear axle to tail;
   LW type doors
   Mk III type but smaller steering wheel;
   Not sure what type of steering column;
   Triple wipers;
   Heater under dash;
   LM tank filler cap;
   Sidemark lighths (maybe neutralized);
   US spec absorption bumpers;
   Given the spec and quality, asking price seems correct.

Constant, did you have the opportunity to take some detailed pictures of the doors modifications ? it seems that the "half way" modification has been made, ie the MKIV system was retained and cutted, and the  MG-type latch installed in the very same place as the MKIV one....

   No time found yet to load pictures [:(]
   Car now more correctly advertised as a Mk IIII (make 4 out of 3 by adding 1 [;)])
   chassis AK 1008
   not certain it the info in the ad regarding current engine (289 ci) and original engine (5.0 L) is correct given what the ACOC register has as info on original engine
   
   This very early car had special features fitted at the factory and was modified twice (as far as I know) in its 31 years of life (2 owners). Would have to dig the full documentation and invoices to know when what conversion has been done.
