Can any one please point me in the right direction as to my cars paint code and manufaturer.
In the handbook someone has written JAG 11DN (611)
I have called various main dealers, paint suppliers and companies who will mix paint up but they don't recognise the code.
I have also trawled through dozens of website and colour charts but nothing is working.
I know its metallic green
I know if I take the car i can get a spectrometer test done or send them the wing mirror.
Hopefully the owners with the same colour might be able to help.

Have you looked at the Brooklands Ace website gallery? There are two dark green Ace's shown. Your's looks similar to the Tourmaline green metallic car shown, but its better you judge yourself. Tourmaline seems to have been a popular choice for the mk1's.

Thank you. I had seen that, and I agree the colour is a good match for the Tourmaline green. Does anyone know the paint code for this? It was used for Ford, Mercedes and Jaguar to name but a few.
I couldn't match the code I had to this colour either.

It may be Tourmaline green, does it look very dark in some lights?
Note the Mercedes Tourmaline Green is not the same as the AC Tourmaline Green.

Nev
Yes, like a dark BRG
Also blueish under some lighting conditions

....are you sure the code is llDN and not HDN?
HDN is a colour code for Jaguar racing green.

Its hand written as 11DN that's not to say it isn't a handwriting mistake.but it definitely says JAG. HDN would make sense then.

The numbers in (), 611, can be a RAL standard colour code number but they are normally 4 figures. 6xxx is in the green spectrum.
I think you best bet is a good car body paint shop. Our local paint shop recognised my "blue" car straight away and even knew the full name "Mauritius Blue Pearl", a BMW colour.

I think your right. I assumed someone would know the colour immediately.
Thank you for the help.
