A flat configuration ---horizontal rods, but engine is vertical. Someone who wrote the add has verbal diarrhea, plagiarism at its best (revealing utter crap)

I do believe that AC built a flat six but its not in this car.

Surprised I don't see Subaru in engine bay. Lightbulb moment-,may be a good aftermarket swap or a lexus V8.

I thought the above car interesting. In particular the alloy head, does an alloy head confer many benefits?  Who made the heads and if only three, were they not very successful?

Hello

I noticed I am missing:

the toolkit in the trunk (Buckland)
Whatever is attached to the firewall on the passenger side (LHD US spec)
Whatever holds up the hood
There are also some clip sets on the firewall in the engine - maybe that’s where the hood “sticks” go? I see 2 sets

Any idea where I can get these ? eBay ? Anyone on here have any for sale? Reproductions?

I have a heater - original - has a little switch that turns it on and off but doesn’t seem to work. I assume it’s electric. Maybe it’s not hooked up. Not sure yet. It’s basically a square box that looks like an afterthought mounted under the dash near passenger footwell

When you have joined the club, log on to the Members' Area of the website and go to Model Directory -> Spares and you will get the list of handbook reprints.  Check with BGS for postage cost and availability.

They often come up for sale on ebay - they are called 'General Instructions' rather than 'Handbook'.

Hello, and welcome to the site. Congratulations on your new car. It looks really good.

My car is a lot older (1935) so I can’t answer your specific questions. However it is possible to get manuals through the club. The rpm should be able to reach 4500 /4800 without issue. Top speed should easily pass 70mph, if not as much as 80mph. I think you’re right about hub caps. Older cars have the facility to lift the steering column, I suspect yours may be the same. A little play in the steering can be expected, if memory serves me right, it will pass the UK mot test with as much as 1 inch wiggle each way for that age of car.

I do hope the forum members get in touch and answer your questions better than I have and that the car gives you great pleasure in the future.
