This Months Quizz
Reference advert in latest "Classic Car" magazine.
AC ACE 1957, Stock body with Hipo 289V8, 4 speed, Black body with Mulberry red interior.
100,000 Dollars US tel: 660-563- 3313 Missouri, USA
Can someone local to Missouri please confirm Chassis number and more details of this Ace..[?]Does the original engine and Box exist..[?]
Being 1957.... more than likely based on a BEX Bristol Ace, However if based on AC engined Ace, it could well be new to the Ace register.
More details required by Tim Isles & Tony Bancroft .. .. [;)]
Many thanks
Keith.. [:)]

If no one has called the body shop number as yet, I can try this week.
I'm about 80 miles away from the phone number location.

The car is BEX336 and has a 1968 302 Ford engine. It has drum brakes all around.

Thank you for making the phone call and confirming the Chassis Number as BEX336.
BEX336 left Thames Ditton in July 1957. Painted metalic Gold with Green interior. Destined for Venezuela.
Ace Bristol Register has it as being broken up following accident and used as spares,[:(] Recorded as Chassis
only as of 1990.
Changed hands a few times during the next few years and was then restored with a new body in 1998. ..[:)]
Thank you for following up request .... Much Appreciated..[;)]

Now some of the things the present owner told me make sense. [;)]
The footbox tag is not stamped with an engine #. The fuel filler is within the boot, no external filler. It has a curved windscreen.
He first found the car advertised in 1998 in California then advertised in Louisiana in 2003.
