CF 62

Hi,
   
   I read in another thread about CF 62 and have to questions:
   
   1) does anybody know whether it is still for sale?
   2) there was a "damage" mentioned. Can anybody tell me something about that?

   Original thread, and some copied out details below, were in "FRUA for Sale* near the bottom of our front 428 page, last message posted 10th November 2009.
   
   No idea if it's still for sale afraid, the last I heard about 3/4 months ago was it still was for sale. Might have been in Florida possibly ? Several pics of the actual damage taken back in about 1977/8 or so are shown in the first link (below), about halfway down the whole thread. Current pics of the car in the Register were taken I think about a year or so ago and are contained in the second link below.

Perhaps CFX 35 might be a little more interesting ? As far as I know still stuck in France for over 2 years waiting for a gallant knight in shining armour to come and save her....

   A lot depends on how well it was repaired, with the damage being a long time ago, the repairs have obviously been done for a long time too, but where? Parts could have been factory sourced, maybe even done by AC?
   Done well,(or if you wanted to carry out a full resto) this would be an excellent buy, Certainly not to be purchased on the basis of this terrible picture though!

   To convert this car back to a Frua coupe is really a lot of work. One has to find another coupe to make a 3D scan in order to produce the panels. Really quite expensive.

   I think the repair must be done with new panels. It was so crashed that I can't believe that they have repaired it without using new panels and a new sub-frame.
   
   Maybe some of our friends in USA can call Mr. White and ask him whether the car is still for sale.
