Title: Invacar model 70

   I'm looking for an owners manual for an Invacar 70.
   Don't know where to start.
   Found it in a field north of Seattle, Washington, USA.
   Can anyone help please?

Post by: ted on October 23, 2017, 17:35:03: Stuart Cycphus is a hive of information on Invacars. (invacar@yahoo.co.uk). He used to send out copies of the instruction books for a small charge, I'm sure he would if you ask.

   An ongoing e-mail dialogue with 'lighthouse' has established that the Invacar belongs to his neighbour, was made by Thundersley not AC, and has a twin-cylinder Steyr Puch engine.

   The Thundersley was probably made to a similar design as the AC. The nearest equivalent AC is thought to be the Acedes Mk 70. There is no handbook or other information for this in the Archive, but I am trying to source and copy a handbook. This was e-mailed to 'lighthouse' yesterday.

   Handbooks for the earlier AC invalid carriages include only basic information about the operation and running maintenance. As advised by 'BE774' & 'ted' above, the contact at invacar@yahoo.co.uk would most probably be a more fruitful source.

   Club Member Paul Eaton has a Little Hafflinger, 1969/70[?]
   which is powered bu a twin cylinder Steyr Puch engine... Looks like half a Air cooled VW Beetle engine.
   Will have a word with him, In the meantime Suggest you google Steyr Puch engines or Club ( Austrian [?])
   If Paul has any information, I will ask him to post you a email via the forum.[;)]
