Hi Chris,

I'm sorry, I only read the first thread and now saw you have health issues. Hope everything will be ok soon.

Hi Chris,

I've just finished the door seals on a Jaguar (sorry) and I first rubbed them in with Vaseline.
I think the best option is to do this and to try to close the door on the next 'click' and leave it to stand for a couple of weeks (after 15 years maybe you still have some patience left).
On my Jag, after a couple of weeks or months, it became easier to close the door. At first, I didn't manage to open or close it because of the tension but after a while, time, pressure and Vaseline seem to have done the job.

   Good luck!

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Cobra-ized AEX140 on eBay

The front of the car (in front of the windshield) is fibreglass. I don't think converting back to original would be worthwhile. In essence, only the chassis and the mid/rear of the body are AC.

Hi Elmo,

I could consider both types, my budget all depends on originality and the condition of the car.
If you have one for sale or know of one, please let me know.

   Kind regards, Didier

Might be an interesting car to convert back to original spec. This of course depends on the extent to which it has been modified.
I am right to think that it had an AC engine originally?

Hello, I am a fairly new member of the club. Just sold my project Greyhound to (partly) fund a Aceca or maybe Ace project.
So, if somebody knows of a project, please don't hesitate to tell me.
It is no problem if the car has no engine/gearbox.
Will consider anything as long as it is genuine.
   Thanks in advance!
   Didier
