For the sake of interest, COB6124 is currently for sale at Naito Auto Engineering in Tokyo, Japan. The last time I saw a photo of this particular car, it was at RM Auctions Monterey in Aug 2006; at that time, the car was black with a forward-facing roll bar and hood scoop.

Looks like a perfect restoration. Beautiful car.

Nice to see the owner had the sense to de- butcher the car.

Having studied the features of this car, I note that it has the same. slightly unusual front flares as my 289 AC, 6111. They are fairly wide at their front edge, quite narrow at the back edge, and they stick out from the body at a slight angle at the top. There were a variety of flares fitted to these cars, and many different styles. I had wondered if mine had been screwed around with over the years, but there is no evidence at all of that. Finding a duplicate pair, on a car built over a year later than mine, exemplifies the hand-made aspects of these cars.

This same car, COB 6124, is now for sale through Taylor and Crawley at the bargain price £680,000. Don't delay!
