See this link to my YouTube clip ACOC Scottish Tour 2012 to see how deteriorated the Rest had become.

AKL1351 which was recently sold at Historics of Brooklands auction who described it as a Mk IV sadly to the previous owners loss because it is an original 'Lightweight' manufacture in 1990. Another one to be added to the list. [:D]

Sadly I thought that Chris Evans had finally purchased a real car to appreciate the finer driving experiences in life! May be it doesn't drive that well after Lord Luitenant James Ingleby crashed it?

Was it not Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans who had the winning bid for this car at the Bonhams auction at the Goodwood Revival?

Thanks to all for organising and executing a first class day.
The weather was kind to us all. The weather which turned from a damp over cast start in to blue sky and sunshine. Sad to see no replacement for the two Johns but our thanks for their running the show a long with all their other helpers and marshals who have done a fantastic job running a smooth ship as usual.

   Thanks for a great day.

£81,200 to be precise. That was a low price for a Mk IV with only 5,200 recorded miles. Sadly the previous owner and the auction house did not know that they were selling a genuine Lightweight [?] True retail market value should be well over £100,000.

General Forum / CLASSIC LEMANS
« on: July 12, 2012, 11:45:41 »
Thanks to Keith & Jean Marc Dubost for arranging such a fabulous 'Classic' Le Mans weekend. The Gala dinner was a first class gastronomic experience, sadly some people who booked did not turn up! No doubt payment must be up front in future to counter people who commit and don't pay! The variety of racing machinery and mixed weather conditions made it all the more spectacular with over 400 competitors.

Thanks to John & Dee for encouraging us to participate. We are already looking forward to the 2014 Classic.

Could we have an update of how many existing members have paid electronically, by other methods and how many existing members who have not paid?
Why not use email to remind members who may have forgotten payment is due!
Thank you for moving in to the 21st century.
