In the absence of a rush of quality photos from Saturday's event, you can have a bunch of my amateur snaps.

That was most likely Jeremy Witt - his ME is T reg and light blue.

There are some pictures of it, and other MEs, on my Flickr photostream.

I’m pleased that the snaps of my toys provided a little amusement, and I hope no-one was too upset by my using the 'r' word.

All of the pictures above are straight from the camera with no digital manipulation whatsoever.

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but you have to remember these days that with the tools available it’s easy to tell a lot of lies with those thousand words. For example, the pictures below, which only took a short time to create, show the same replica back in the sixties with a period plate and right hand drive, in the company of a period Austin Mini. With a bit more work to correct things like the cheap and cheerful number plate, reversed AC logo on the steering wheel and other model deficiencies, it would be possible to create some really convincing period photos.

But then again, a photograph never lies, and if it’s on the internet it must be true.   [;)]

3000ME Forum / Set of alloys and tyres for a 3000ME on E-Bay

Sold for £335 to someone other than Mr.184 who only wanted them as spares. I've got enough spares for 184 using up my storage space as it is.

It looks like a Ford item to me. I have a similar looking handle on both of my plastic cars, pictures below; the all chrome one on my 1985 AC 3000ME and the all black plastic one on my 1985 Midas Bronze Mk2. The all black one is from a Mk2 Escort, the all chrome one from a Capri or Granada.
The outer surround is separate, so chrome or black can be interchanged. Both are plastic mouldings, and they are attached to the main assembly with four tags which snap off with age. Chrome surrounds are harder to find than the black ones, but they come up on Ebay occasionally.

General Forum / EASTERN WEEKEND
« on: October 11, 2009, 16:10:17 »
Thanks for the welcome. I've been browsing this forum since I joined the ACOC early last year but, being an ME owner, have only posted on the ME forum until now. I only attended the Sunday visit to Glevering Hall, so have no other pictures of the Eastern Weekend. Most of the few pictures that I took on Sunday were of MEs.
