Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Aceca Rubber seal tailgate
« on: April 26, 2010, 11:49:52 »
My Aceca is missing its rubber seal for the tailgate. As far as I can see it from pictures the sealing is attached to the tailgate and not to the body, but I have no idea how it has to look and which profile to use. Anybody can help?

   Thanks,

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Suspension Aceca , Please help!
« on: April 20, 2007, 12:28:18 »
My Aceca has got new bushes, dampers, tyres, everything but it still has a roadholding to be afraid of. It runs straight without problems but negotiates turns in a terrible way. We removed all panels in the back to see what the suspension is doing while on the run, it lifts the inner wheel at rather slow speeds. Then the lsd cuts in and the car feels awkward. The frame is straight and unbroken, the suspension setup within normal limits. It´s a V8 converted car but that shouldn´t be the problem I think. Any ideas?

   Thank you,

428 Frua Forum / Pictures of Aceca and Frua 428 mixture
« on: March 12, 2007, 09:16:28 »
Here is the ad of the mixture of CF 18 and AE 558. It was offered last October for 35000 Britih pounds:
This well known car features a 302 Boss Mustang engine in an independently suspended AC chassis. This is effectively a Mk3 Cobra with a roof, and it delivers the driver’s reward that you would expect from such a combination.
The car has been built to a very professional standard in the 1980s by a Swiss collector, Verner Oswald, using Aceca body number 558, and AC 428 chassis CF 18. The attention to detail is very good with features such as aeroquip hoses throughout, competition water piping, on board fire extinguisher.
The car is in excellent mechanical order. The suspension has been completely rebuilt, shock absorbers reconditioned and front anti roll bar fitted (following the settings from a competition Mk 3 Cobra) in the last year.
The engine is fresh and has only covered 1,000 miles since being run in. The engine builders expect it to be producing 400bhp+. It has Eagle steel crankshaft, Childs and Albert reduced radius big and main bearings, H beam magnafluxed con rods, +.030 boss pistons and more.

   Amazing!

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / AC Aceca BE 605
« on: February 07, 2007, 11:05:34 »
I bought BE 605 last autumn, it is in rather good state but has a Ford V8 302 fitted. Of course it goes like hell but the gearing is much too short with the 3.91 rear axle. We will fit an axle from Jaguar with the 2.88 set up. Everything was an will be carried out so that the car can be converted bach to original form without problems. The car das drums all round but two of them are cracked so I am looking for new drums or a conversion to discs at the front. Can anybody help with information what to get and where?
