I have a 1986 MK IV with a carburetor. Planning to convert it to www.eightstack.com fuel injection. Does my fuel tank have an existing fuel return fitting? If not, any suggestion how and where I should install one?

This one has a supercharger. Yes, it reads Autocraft. I have aready email the correct spelling. We are not as proper with our diction here in the colonies. Has anyone installed the Dynaformance / Accuform Classic Fuel Injection system ( http://classicinjection.com/index.php )? If so, please tell me about the installation, performance and dependability. I am seriously considering this modification to me MKIV.

428 Frua Forum / New Shelby 289 Street Roadster
« on: February 01, 2011, 20:07:11 »
Well, at times I have been know to stir up some trouble. I received an email from Shelby American introducing their new models. One was a really good looking 50th Anniversary Shelby Cobra. I was told the car was sold out in 48 hours.

Since that was no info on the engine I made a call. I was told a 289 was offered either from Ford or an aluminum block from Shelby. I then ask "Who makes the aluminum body"? The man told me they had two sources but Kirkham supplied most on the bodies. I comment that is a well built product then added that I have an Autokraft AC MKIV. There was a period of silence. I could tell he was thinking "What is that?"
I then added "AC in England". The gentleman then said that some of the bodies came from the original source in England. That AC had gone bankrupt in 1961 and Shelby bought the rights to the body.

If you through stone, please don't aim at me.

   Best wishes to all,

On the MkII & MkIII Draggin Snake Cobras, were they equipped with independent rear axles or rigid rear axles?

I know there were a few options on the MKIV's went built. Was there an options sheet printed? If so, may I have a copy?[8D]

I found this plate on a 1993 AK posted for sale on Hemmings. Is this plate real? I have never seen one with Brooklands,Surrey,England only Thames Ditton on vintage Cobras.

My 1986 MkIV is equipped with dual exhaust on the left side. I have seen a couple other MkIV's with this feature. Looks like it is period to the mid 80' models. I have also seen it on Bristols. Personally, I like it. A very nice departure from all the plastics. Does anyone know the history of this design?

Just got my new issue of Action with a beautiful picture of a Cobra on the cover. Made in Germany and powered by GM? What a bummer. Kinda take the legacy our of the it. If I had the money, I would not buy one. Made in England / powered by Ford. Thats a Cobra!!!

Greetings,

Many thanks to Jim Maxwell for sharing these photos of the all AC Deliverance Tour 2008 held in the Appalachian Mountains. Jim's MkII and MkIII participated. Jim's MkIII is an original 428. There is a rare green AC289 with left had drive and also an unusual red AC with rear air ducts.
