Title: Goodwood Cobra Race
Post by: SB7019 on November 30, 2011, 22:28:29
Looks like next year's Revival will include a 45 minute race solely for Cobras.  Sounds ( literally) like fun!  Apparently a grid of 30 cars is planned.

I wonder how many will be "originals" ;-)

Why, all of them naturally! As if the scrutineers would permit a fake to slip past them. The very idea! And of course we can rely on all Cobra owners to play the game since they are Gentlemen. It's about taking part, not the winning, surely???

Nick, TT is one race, the Cobra special event is another race...

   - We can consider the next TT will be "Cobraless" if we see 30 Snakes in the special all-Cobra race.
   - "VERY SPECIAL" Cobras: Yes, as far as they are "eligible" regarding Goodwood track history...

   Cheers

See how excited I`m getting, Louis?! [;)]
Seeing as this year`s Fordwater Trophy was an exclusive E-Type race, and there were no E-Types in the TT, you would be correct!

All of the 'important' Cobras are pre-`66 which is the basic Goodwood eligibility criteria
(but how many of the 'important pre-`66 Cobras' actually are is another matter!!!)[:o)]
