I had bronze spinners made for me, but I didn't keep them ... Although it is a very good material (doesn't size on hubs, and it "absorbs" hammer hits very well), they're damn heavy !

Hi BBK,

I understand that, but my car is US spec (sold in berverly hills), and I have both cobras ... Jim, I assume it was already like that when was yours ?

do you a picture of your sill plates ? I do not have any engraved ones !

PS: carbureted engine IMPLIES twin exhaust pipes on one side...

I was there ... A very interesting (and long !)  auction , with the famous talent of HervĂ© Poulain (also creator of the Art Cars), who was celebrating his 40 years as an auctioneer !

Was the AC logo on the boot genuine ? I have. Cobra logos on  both ends of the car ...

Avon CR6ZZ for the tyres for sure (they are great !), and I presume Hawk wheels ?

51
Gorgeous car !

52
Yep, but going this route, the only very specific MKIV features were longer cockpit, doors reinforcement and telescopic bumpers ! I assume all the others items/ modifications  were available, as options or special order, weren't they ?

Congratulations, Constant [:)] ! Even if it means you won't come with your MKIV [}:)] ... A friend of mine is also confirmed , in the Grid 4 (type E).

54
ok... it wasn't in the specifications, but available as options [;)] ! to me, a "standard" MKIV (as far as it has ever existed !) is a kind of 427 street version (or AC289 without wire wheels), ie underbody exhausts, no hood scoop, no roll bar, chrome bumpers,  etc...

56
...and the roll bar !

edited : and the hood scoop...

57
thanks for the info, Hobo... Even if it's not directly topic related, each and every info is useful !

here's a post from Emmanueld on the 428 forum about the Fuidyne radiator : http://www.acownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1911

nobody has Gerry's shocks (or others) fitted to his MKIV [xx(] ?

My understanding it is a genuine MGB rack, but with hexagonal part added between rack and track rod ends to cope with the larger front track, but I also remember that another reference for the rack was mentioned in the part list we already talked about here...
