MkIV LHD Lightweight & MkIV 427 for sale

The Graeme Hunt car was on show at the NEC and had a lot of interest from what I saw. I imagine a period correct 427 side oiler engine would not be cheap to source & build.

Those prices make this one on eBay in the U.S look like a steal at sub-£80k, even when you factor in import duty & shipping costs, you`re still way ahead of the curve!

Haha!! I`ve found out why this MkIV is SOOO cheap... it has a serious fault!!!
   
   From the vendor`s Q & A section: "...It fires right up and drives straight. No rattles or squeaks. It stops great and goes thru the gears like it should. The only issue I found is there appears to be a cassette stuck in the stereo."

Well Fook off if the stereo has a tape jammed in it! It will cost umpteen thousand pounds (or twelve dollars, about the same) to rectify.

   The Mk4 lightweight which you have posted an image of in this thread on 19/Nov/13 belongs to a friend of mine. He bought it off Rod Leach. He lives in Cheshire, England. It is a beautiful car! I understand it is one of the initial 26? lightweights. My friend has a passion for motorcycle touring in Europe and as such hasn't used the car much at all since he's had it. I was chatting to him today and he may contemplate selling it. Let me know if you (or your friend) want his contact details.

Hi French Frie - happy New Year to you and all ACOC forum members.
   
   My car is coming along nicely thankyou. May well be finished this year, but don't hold your breath!!
   
   Father Christmas brought me a windscreen, so I have been busy fitting it! The car is almost complete apart from sorting out the engine/gearbox and exhausts. They may be sorted out soon and I may get it on the road in time for the summer, fingers crossed!
