Notice that it has the 16" front original whells and has 15s on the rear. And the Nitrous would make me think twice.....I'm sure this has NEVER been drag raced or driven hard (7500 miles......1/4 mile at a time! The AK number seems familiar, I may have sold this one new.

Keep in mind that spline drive wire wheel will not work on a Mark IV as there are no splines on the hubs and the drive pins will foul the wheel hub.

Alan,
I have it. It will take some searching of old files, but I do have it. I have promised a list of all the cars I imported and sold circa 1985-1987 but a recent move has me digging thru boxes and two different locations to locate the info. I will copy you on all the cars that I handled from Autokraft. Also I have several interesting items such as the order sheets we used, correspondance, etc.

Several vendors have them. Try Finsh Line in Florida.

Also Amco makes one but I think it has the old US thread rather than the metric thread used on the T5 lever but this can be overcome easily. Rick

Brooklands Motor Company.......they can supply most AC pieces. You, know, the ones that "AC" can't. There is a Mk IV in the states that was hit. Insurance company forwarded a 10K deposit for a new front clip to AC. Over a year later and no reply. Why, because AC cannot build alloy bodies, they have no facility and no staff that can do alloy. Once again A.L. strikes. The owner let the car now be totaled and he is without his Mk IV.

Actually, several of the photos date back to circa 1985 and the Autokraft works at Brooklands......now a giant Tesco. "AC" has used whatever images they find from whatever era. I have several originals of the photos from the old Brooklands Autokraft "factory" The photos are a mix of Brooklands Autokraft, Brooklands Vickers Road works, Frimley and the current goat shed on Malta.

Most of the workers pictured are dead, retired or made redundant.

Notice that the rack must be removed to open the boot! Only the highest levels of engineering and design at AC (Malta)!

And none of us will ever live long enough to see it built! Sorry, I just had to. Also Mr.Administrator, please inform me of the limits to which I may comment upon the current regime at "AC". As you may or not be aware, I have a "history" with the carbon life form that currently "owns" AC and tend to be, oh, maybe just a little caustic and doubtful about anything they claim. Heck, if A.L. told me it was August I would need to check the calender to be sure! I don't want to excced the limits here and become a troll. Thanks,

AK3024, Often the owners insatlled them. Easier to say "I have a Cobra" than try to explain what an "AC" is. Some of the dealers installed them although we were not supposed to.

The black car on eBay was sold originally to a Ted Smook of Virginia. I delivered it to him personally. As an aside, despite what several sellers claim, all Mark IVs delivered in the US carried "AC" emblems, not "Cobra" logos. While Autokraft had the license from Ford to use the trademark, we were unable to do so in the US due to Fords requirement to have Ford named as additional insured on the products liability insurance. Brian could find no carrier to write a policy with Ford on it as they were too big a target and would possibly encourage a claim that would not have been brought otherwise. Many owners added the Cobra emblems...I installed some for owners (after delivery of course!)

Lockport...14094. I often travel to Rochester/Binghamton/Syracuse on business and could drop it off. If the price sounds fair, I guess I didn't ask enough! I also have a rear hub upright for a MK iV but don't remember which side...when I find it I will post.

Hey,
I have LOTSof stupid answers. The wheel is a standard MK IV rear. Black painted center with machined and cleared rim, it is for the standard center lock hub/knock-off (knock-on in Blighty). I can email a picture. They wheel if not needed for a car will become my garage hose reel. $200.00 plus shipping. I am in Western New York.
