Never seen such an Aceca
« on: September 04, 2011, 18:07:07 »
Looking at pictures from a 1968 local Hill Climb in Plumelec (Morbihan, Brittany), I was taken aback by this modified Aceca.

It is a french entrant even if the car is a right hand drive.
I already asked french ACOC member without succes.

Have you ever seen an Aceca bodied as that one ?

Edited: I am not definitly sure it's a RHD...

   Louis.

The Aceca you refer to is definitely LHD.

As can be seen from watching :-

   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yng8Egf7VRs

Plumelec Hill Climb 1968,  8mm cine about 4minutes.

Reminds me of Aceca AE504 a pale Blue with white interior Aceca which was for sale in 1964, (reference advert in 1964 motor Sport)  this too had faired in headlights similar to a Aston Martin.

Louis , I emailed picture to your Sunday evening along with acouple of pictures of AE504 which I took in 2007, the Aceca now has correct bodywork...[;)] but still lacking correct engine mounts.[:(]

Please feel free to post pictures to complement your thread.
   Cheers for Now

Hi Keith, I am a new member and am researching this car. You refer to an advert where she appeared, do you have a link to this ad or a pdf you could share?

   Simon

Emailed you a few pictures of AE504.

I will copy to Nik Bagshaw and request he posts them on this thread in a week or two.

I took the later photos in 2007..... where  as the picture with faired headlights producing imitation Aston Martin appearance as per advert was published in the 1960s.
The body work  has returned to stock (2007).. [;)] However still in need of TLC and a lot of work.

What is your interest in AE504??  Have you  bought it? Intending to purchase? or  was associated with your Family in the past?

   Good Luck with your research...
