Title: AC Documentation
Post by: acsale on November 10, 2018, 23:09:28
S.F.Edge was very prolific in the 1920s when Governing Director of AC Cars Ltd. by producing promotional material that was sent to Dealers and AC owners.
Attached list shows letters dated between 24 March 1924 and February 1928 - The key is the reference by the faithful secretary "P" and the sequential numbers.
Attachment 1 is listing of letters I have, attachment 2 is example of letter,  note that it's undated, but because of reference No 113,  places it between 5 August 1925 and 21 December 1925.

The date is curious as it's known that AC's pirated version of the Anzani engine was manufactured by Cubitt in Aylesbury, of which SF Edge was a director.  Cubitt went into receivership in February 1925.

I've speculated in the past as to whether AC dropped the 12HP because they ran out of engines, but perhaps this indicates they continued to build the four cylinder engine at Thames Ditton after Cubitt closed.
