What Credit Crunch? 428 doubles in price!
« on: November 28, 2008, 06:22:36 »
WOW!
CF78, which underneath the shiny exterior looks like a daily driver, sold at Bonhams Goodwood Auction this July for £49,628 inclusive of Buyer's Premium is now for sale at Manchester Oldtimer for a staggering £95,000....
   90% mark-up anyone?

They`ll have to start converting 'Cobra-ised' Fruas back now!!!!

As an alternative to the above, you could have a Maserati Mistral for 'offers over £20,000'. Hmmm. I wonder if that price is current?

What would you expect from a Cobra in sheep clothing! These cars are so under-valued compared to equivalent rides. As they are restored their value will rise.

I think restored cars will also push the price and attractiveness of non restored alternatives. I think the main problem with the Frua has been that most examples were rusted wrecks. As they go through auction house in restored condition they will be more and more attractive to buyers. like Isos' for example. However, let's make sure the cars remain original at least in appearance or are tastefully modified. We don't want to go the way of the Pantera for example which have been ruined by their owners (Modified in tasteless ways). And prices reflect that state, It's almost impossible to find an early Pantera without worthless billet junk or horrible fender flares. This fact has rendered the breed worthless. [:)]
