Title: 1965 AC Cobra 427 close ratio toploader transmissi
Post by: Steve on September 23, 2006, 21:24:16: Hi, I am new to this site. I was curious if $700 is too much to pay for 1965 AC Cobra 427 close ratio toploader transmission. It's in good shape and shifts well, but has not been rebuilt. The tag on the side of the transmission says HEH-CC.

Look at ClubCobra.com and search for "toploader" and you will find several threads with pricing/value (keeping in mind that price and value are two VERY different things!) Also look at the David Kee transmissions site (a link on ClubCobra) and decode the tag.
