Title: Ace and Aceca Bristol Accelerator linkage.
Post by: nicksonsticks on January 01, 2023, 16:30:08
Hi all,
I'm cleaning up a few bits ready for painting etc and have found that my accelerator shaft linkage has an extra 40mm approx welded in to make it longer. Would anybody be able just to confirm the correct length please. I'm guessing it will be around 140mm? I've attached a photo which will hopefully explain a bit better!
Any help greatly appreciated.
(This is for the Bristol engine.)
Many thanks Nick

I may have answered this myself.  Looking through various pictures online, there aren't many showing this rod, but the one I have found shows exactly the same modification. So I'm guessing that it was lengthened by the factory in production, meaning the correct length would be approx 180mm.
