Ace harmonic balancer needed
« on: April 03, 2018, 21:32:23 »
Anyone know where I can get a harmonic balancer for my AC-engined Ace? Evidently mine has basically disintegrated.

Peter
you would be best to fit a viscous damper instead of the bonded rubber damper which only works effectively at one resonance if they are made correctly?
If you contact  Ian Mahany who fitted one of his Son in Law's supplied dampers to his Ace I am sure he will assist , his contact details are in the latest members list.
You will need to make a special adapter hub which Ian may be able to source for you along with the Viscous damper.

Sorry for the late reply but if you want to stick with the original style damper they are available from Rodd Briggs in the uk. Here http://www.ac-6.co.uk/spare_parts_list_two%20Crankshaft%20Assembly.htm

Regards Luke.

Thanks Luke - have already reached out to Rod, and seems he has them, so just waiting on a total including shipping and one should be on its way!

Thanks everyone for the leads.
