I don't believe AC every sold a color called "racing green"; at least it is not included in their color swatch. Their closest is Vineyard Green.

   I have the original color chart book that Jerry mentioned. I bought my car directly from Thames Ditton in early 1963, and the color chart was sent to me in advance so I could select a color.
   
   You are correct that there were three reds, plus a Rouge Irise. My book contains 15 color chips, plus black and white. The paints were a Nitro Valspar Cellulose Lacquer, and produced by the Valentine Varnish & Lacquer Co.
   
   In 1988, I wrote to them, to get information of what base colors were mixed to produce my Vineyard Green. Apparently Valentine was taken over by BASF, because that is who answered (same address). Their Customer Service Department sent me a color chip (which my color chart book contains), a list of the basic colors, and the amount of each required to produce the paint in question.
   
   If you contact them, Jay, they may still have enough information to help you. The address in 1988 was:

   I don't see any picture of an Aceca. There is a partial picture of what appears to be a Cobra at the very top of the page. I tried IE, Firefox, and Opera. However, there is a drop down menu on the left, which includes an entry for "Model Directory". I selected "Ace"  (there is no "Ace Bristol"), and found the Intro, Pictures and Articles drop down which you mentioned. Thanks for guiding me there.

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Tires for Ace Bristol with 15" wheels

My Ace Bristol has the optional 15" wheels, and 6.40-15 tires. I see that Michelin makes a 180HR-15, with the XAS tread pattern. According to Michelin's specs, the tire is 6.90" wide, which is about 0.50" wider than my 6.40-15.
   
   There is less than 0.50" clearance between my rear tires and the inside vertical aluminum panels, when measured statically. So I have no idea how small the clearance when running.
   
   Does anyone have experience with these 180HR-15 Michelins, and is there a rear clearance problem? (If you have 16" wheels, Michelin sells a 175/80-16, which is listed as having the same width as their 180HR-15).
