Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Fuel Pump location AC Engine
« on: July 25, 2023, 22:08:27 »
I am having ongoing problems with over fuelling the carbs.  Currently set up with a "Facet Gold Flo" electric pump and a regulator at the front.  My thoughts (after speaking to Burlen) is that the pump should be located at the rear of the car as the Facet pump and the SU pump recommended by Burlen are better suited to pushing the fuel rather than pulling it.    My question is where have other owners successfully located their pumps,  what are they using and any tips would be welcome
Thanks
Chris

Does anyone have a manual I could borrow or buy?  I have been unable to find one and the club is out of print.  Happy to collect (if you are not too far away from Alton Hampshire,  or will pay postage etc

Thanks
Chris

Does anyone know where I can source a gear knob with reverse top left for my Aceca?  I have tried a few of the online companies such as Rimmer Bros etc without success

Thanks

Here is my tool kit. It is for the AC engine.  The Bristol Tool kit includes the long spark plug spanner.  I am only missing one item,  which I think/guessing  is a 5”  ratchet for the Jack?.   Let me know if you need any help

Robin

I had great service from Hawk Cars!  I have already fitted the new pawl and ratchet, both originals were worn and the handbrake now works perfectly

Thanks
Chris

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Aceca hand brake release

I am having trouble with my handbrake releasing.    I press the button in to lock it on,  however it always seems to let go of the ratchet and releases the brake.  Is the handbrake release adjustable or does anyone have experience of fixing this problem?  I am guessing that there is a pin that locks (or isn't locking in this case) into the crescent shaped ratchet?

Thanks in advance

Chris
