I should have read your post more thoroughly. The supercharger piccies are of AK1440 an ex US supplied 1993 MK IV with a 302 efi  crate engine from the US. So it is not a SuperBlower as such.
I had the powerdyne supercharger fitted in the UK which was not an easy installation. The replacement crate engine was highly modified and the initial detonation problems were solved by the intercooler. The engine also needed a very much upgraded fuel system. In fact it cost a small fortune to get it set up properly. Not sure if it was worth all the hastle it in the end. However, it really flies.....

I have fitted a Powerdyne silent drive supercharger to the 302 in my MK IV that runs at 6 psi. Up to 9psi is available
   http://www.powerdyne.com/
I believe it is the same type that was fitted to the superblowers.
Took experts to get it to run properly and complete the modifications to the EFI etc. Now that it does run properly the dyno indicates 450 bhp.[:)]

My MK IV shows 450 bhp at the flywheel and only 360 bhp at the wheels. Then I did add a supercharger...........[:D]

Any news on this event yet?

I thought the reason for wire locking was to act as a tell-tale before you drive off. An indication that the spinner had come loose.

Would 1 or 3 locking wires really stop an unwinding spinner?

   Max Allan
Why would you want a locking wire in the direction of tightening?

If I am in France over the period I would certainly like to attend the event as a spectator. I will not know however until mid May. I hopefully will be in the Perigueux area.

I read above that Keith is organising the UK chapter and that you are organising the Le Mans accommodation arrangements. I will be staying in SW France over the period and will be travelling up to the event in my MK IV. Therefore, not requiring the full UK package only accommodation and places for the dinner. Can I contact you directly about the venue?
Is anyone going to Angouleme this year?

Yes thats the one for me.
I presume the CHA 3 is the correct tool for a MK IV with Halibrand wheels.
I have asked them for a quote to send these items to the UK.
   1. CHA 3
   2. Large ratchet with ¾ " drive in 500 mm length
   3. Extension for more leverage - total ratchet length 700 mm
   4. Duffelbag with anti-corrosive lining for tools (not the ratchet)
   5. Duffelbag with anti-corrosive lining for large ratchet
Hope I can get delivery before blasting down to SW France for the summer.

I have a powerdyne silent belt drive supercharger fitted to my  modified 302/5.0 litre engine in my MKIV. I believe that this the same type fitted to the superblower series. http://www.powerdyne.com/
Running at just less than 6psi the rolling road confirms 450 BHP at 5650 rpm and 430 ft lbs torque. Up to 9psi is available. Initially the engine suffered considerably from detonation, a new programmable ECU and an intercooler solved the problem.
Show you a picture if you want.

I have the same problem. Under 'all forums' the 'members area' is there but no pointy finger when the cursor is positioned.

The garage I am using to sort out the engine after a so called 'AC specialist' made a complete horlicks of the car and installation recommends the Emerald programmable ECU: http://www.emeraldm3d.com/em_ab_em.html
You are right about the compression ratio. I ordered a new crate engine from the US that has a 10:1 CR and had the supercharger fitted as an afterthought. Hence the need for an intercooler. Wish I hadn't bothered with the supercharger now as it has caused nothing but problems. Then that might have more to do with incompetence of the 'AC specialist'. However, when it goes it should be interesting.

The rear view mirrors look like the ones found in:
   http://www.europaspares.com
Look in the onlineshop and then exterior mirrors,SVAMIRL L/H or R/H for £76.00 Daylight robbery just because they are SVA approved otherwise they would be about £20-25
