Can anyone tel me what the correct engine block color for the Ace 2.6 Ford Zephyr? My recollection is a lighter green but I've seen blue and black and Jim Feldman's car which sold last year appears to be red.
Asking for someone doing a restoration.

The closest match that I've found to the original Ford dark blue/green paint is RAL 6005 Moss Green.
I've also seen an original 2.6 block in a lighter turquoise green but couldn't be sure that it hadn't been
repainted sometime in the last fifty years. Red & American Ford engine blue are not correct in my opinion.

I just pulled this from my notes. I believe this is as accurate as possible;
Ally parts - unfinished. Including the cast ally bell housing forward cover piece. Mays heads always unpainted.
All pressed steel parts - black. The engine pictured appears to have crackle finish paint, which I doubt Ford would have used in production.
Block - green colour as shown and discussed. I presume an original iron head would also be this colour.
Crank pulley, water pump and thermostat take off - I'm unsure but black would of course work.
