Title: Original 427 Glove Box Details Needed
Post by: GWL on July 12, 2012, 15:06:54
I am building a Factory Five 427 Cobra and I am interested in the details for the glove box. There are lots of detailed dimensions out there but everyone seems to have their own idea of 'original'. I would like to duplicate the construction and dimensions as close as possible.

Does anyone have the original 427 street glove box dimensions and any construction details they could share?

I attended SAAC 37 in Watkins Glen, NY this past spring and took lots of pictures but failed to get dimensions and I still have questions about the details of the beading around the door.

If anyone has the proper dimensions of the 289 Cobra glove box I would be interested in that for my files too.

   Thanks for any responses, George

If you speak to Gerry Hawkridge at Hawk Cars, he's probably your best bet. Hawk Cars produce exact replicas of most Cobra models and also supply all parts for use on original 60s cars.

I know that Gerry had produced a run of exact replicas of the 427 glove box handles, only last year.
