Title: AK 1005 pics
Post by: AK1005 on April 25, 2007, 22:59:52
Greetings from Dundee. I just wanted to try if I manage to upload some pictures of my car. Peter, thanks for your help concerning my brake problem. The front calipers are Girling 17/3 and I hope to get an AP Racing upgrade soon.

Nice car! Did you order that steering wheel directly from Moto Lita?

I found the throttle method much more effective last Sunday when heading to the ACOC AGM.   A sunday driver started to drift into the side of me on the M25 and while the feeble standard horn did not attract his attention an increase of about 3000 revs certainly did!

Nice car BTW - I like the look and stance with the 15 inch wheels.

The steering wheel was already fitted when I bought the car. It is a Moto Lita with a nice patina. The horn button is located on the turn signal switch on the right side. The whole unit is different from later cars.

I've seen Cobras (real and fake) in - I thought - every possible colour scheme.

How wrong I was!  It's stunning, it may be a bit monochrome for some but I just love the whole Black on Black - 'light just falls into it' concept.  Does it ever look a beast.

While mine may be sexy in BMW Mauritius Blue with two white stripes - I may just have to re-think the colour scheme!!!

   Hi Jan

   The rims are Halibrand 6 Pin Wheels 6.5" and 8.5" x 15"
Tyres are Cooper Cobra Radial G/T
Front 235/50 15 and Rear 295/45 (or 40, will tell you later on)15.

If needed some you will get the wheels from Robra Restorers, Ltd. in USA or Hawkcars UK.

Tyres should be available from BF Goodrich (Radial T/A) in the same dimension, with white writing. Alternatively you could go for Goodyear Eagle GT II, but when I ordered mine they were only available up to 275/50 or 45.

   Regards
